Position Overview:
We are looking for a responsible and safety-focused Fire Watch to join our team. The Fire Watch plays a vital role in ensuring job site safety by monitoring hot work areas, identifying fire hazards, and responding quickly to potential fire incidents. This position is critical to maintaining a safe work environment for all personnel on-site.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor all hot work areas where welding, cutting, or grinding is being performed.

• Maintain constant vigilance to detect sparks, heat, or potential fire hazards.

• Ensure fire extinguishers and suppression equipment are readily available and in proper working condition.

• Immediately respond to and extinguish small fires when safe to do so.

• Communicate any hazards or unsafe conditions to supervisors and welders promptly.

• Remain on-site for the entire duration of hot work and for the designated cool-down period afterward.

• Keep accurate records of fire watch activities and follow company safety protocols.

• Support the site safety team in enforcing A&N Services safety standards and OSHA compliance.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a Fire Watch or in a safety-related role preferred.

• Must complete Fire Watch and Hot Work Safety training (certification preferred).

• Strong attention to detail and situational awareness.

• Reliable, punctual, and able to remain alert for extended periods.

• Ability to communicate clearly and work as part of a team.

• Must be able to work in outdoor and industrial environments.
  
  

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods.

• Work in hot, cold, or confined spaces as needed.

• Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
